Fishes – Simsonichythys marginatus – new species described.

The abstract (in english) says “it differs from all other species of the genus by the unique possession of a dark brown stripe bordered by a blue stripe on the distal margin of dorsal and anal fins and a black spot on anterior border of dorsal fin of males. It is considered to be closely related to a clade comprising S. boitonie, S. zonatus, and S. santanae by males of the four species sharing an apomorphic color pattern.”

Type locality is a temproary pool close to Rio dos Patros in Goias state (Brasil).
