Hi!  One of my questions would be what temperature you find works the best. I currently have no heater in tank.   Nice to meet you by the way.

The pleasure is mine.  I keep mine in a greenhouse along with all my Aphanius and Cyprinodons, etc. so my water temps tends to vary during the day but generally runs around 75 to 85 degrees.  I have found that these type of fishes like sunlight and warm water.  In these conditions they lay tons of eggs.  I had a breeding group of around 10 and I could collect 100 eggs a day.  I have literally around 300 I'm raising now and have long ago quit collecting eggs.  My water here isn't super hard so I have started to add salt, calcium chloride, soda ash and sodium bicarbonate to my 990 gallons of water storage giving me water that is pH 8 and about 400 ppm calcium carbonate.  Granted these are descendents of fish I collected in 2006 from Tampa and I suspect the water there isn't that hard due to the amount of rain, although I really don't know the original water conditions.  I mainly did this because of the Cyprinodons and Aphanius.  I think they are a cool fish and really in the long run, an easy fish to keep and breed.  Good luck and let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
