    Arrivals welcomed AFTER 2pm.

Attendees often bring a dish to pass but it’s not required. We would be looking for snacks/appetizers or desserts. From 2pm to 4pm we’ll have time to munch, socialize, talk about Killifish and check out Jim’s Fish room. Bring your own flashlight. At 4pm we’ll have our business meeting which will be a little longer than most since we’ll be reviewing our past Show and Auction. I am looking for input as to what you thought went well and what you felt was not as smooth as could be. We’ll also discuss re-introducing Class 3 back to the Show, whether we want to host another Show and who the speaker could be.
Dues for 2026 will be collected at the same rate as the past 15 years, all of $10.00. If you paid at the Show, you are covered for 2026. And yes, there will be the auction after the business portion. As usual the person selling the item keeps the money, there is no club split required.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend and also if you are bringing anything so I can try and co-ordinate the food/refreshments.

Also, we will be working on the meeting schedule for 2026. If you are interested in hosting, please be ready to have a date and an alternate. We try to have meetings the 2nd Sunday but are willing to be flexible if possible. The host is reimbursed $150 towards the expenses of food and beverages for the meeting. If you know the 2026 schedule for Milwaukee Aquarium Society, please let us know so we can avoid conflicting dates if at all possible.

If you cannot attend but would like to add your input during the Sunday meeting, please email me and I will add it to our agenda.
If you are looking for our Show results, they are posted on our web site: www.wako.aka.org scroll down to the PAST SHOW RECAP button. Once you click on it it’ll take you to the results of many of our past Shows and Conventions.

So, until Sunday, take care and please RSVP.

    Hi All,

    711 30th Ave.
    Monroe, WI 53566
    608-558-5174
    Email (corrected): GaryG@Wekz.net
    Please RSVP the host directly

    Our hosts included a note:
“Maggie and I look forward to seeing you on the 14th. If you’ve never been to Monroe and Green County, we encourage you to come early and spend some time in our beautiful city and county. Here’s a link for more information.
    Green County Tourism website

Featuring Monroe and New Glarus, Green County has great restaurants and several places of interest, including two breweries, a stately courthouse on our historic square and multiple historic and cultural museums. It’s a great day trip! Gary & Maggie Guralski”

Also please bring along a chair so we can sit outside, weather permitting. As usual, arrivals after 2pm with socializing and checking out the fishroom and set-up, food, refreshments and business portion starts at 4pm followed by the club auction. Even though Gary Greenwood will not be able to attend, he will send some pairs of Killifish along with Jim Gasior for the club auction.

Regarding the Oct. 5 WAKO meeting, note it’s the FIRST Sunday at the home of Gary and Karen Sutcliffe in Slinger, WI. If attending that meeting a RSVP is needed by Sept 26th to give them enough time to buy turkeys that will be grilled on the BBQ. So, 12 folks need to RSVP by that date to make the turkey dinner a reality.

Happy to announce that all the Class sponsorships have been reserved or paid but we are still looking for donations that will be used for Hospitality, rental costs etc.

Our Show Posters are ready, if you need one to post at a fish shop or Aquarium meeting, please let Gis know: Email: GasiorGJ@aol.com
