Has anyone ever used Flour Beetles as a live food for their killies? If so how has it worked for you?

Hello,

Yes, I was using them for a while. You need whole wheat flour (white flour did not work! but perhaps corn meal would work). They pretty much take care of themselves so long as the culture doesn't get too moist or overrun with beetles. (Starting a new culture now and then is a good idea.) It was easy to pick out the maggots to feed to my Nothos etc... I would use forceps and place the maggots in a beaker of water to try get the flour off. This worked well. No problems. I would actually like to get some of these again.
