Like Nothos, ads lose potency quickly.  Old one's are likely just forgotten clutter and will likely be ignored by readers anyway.  So we we plan periodically to clean them up.  To that end, any ad older than 60 days is liable for deletion.

We will remove all posts and requests from non-current members once a member account has become dormant or non-renewed... jpl

btw: It might be a good practice for anyone who wants a long running ad to copy the text, delete the old ad, create a new post and paste the text back in.  That way, anyone coming in will see a fresh ad and know it is active.
