Distribution |
Well distributed in Liberia, Ghana & Ivory Coast. Replaced to the west of their range by Rhex.nimbaensis & to the east by Procatopus sp. |
Habitat |
Primary forest areas in the foothills of the plateau
in small rivulets/streams. These streams are recorded as being clear water with
some flow rate over a sand base. Depth of water has been recorded at 30 cm, water
temperature 20-30°C. Sympatric sp. include E.chaperi
sheljuzhkoi, E.chaperi schreiberi,
E.olbrechtsi olbrechtsi & Poropanchax
rancureli. |
