Type Locality

Stream draining into the Mamou River, a tributary of the Kabe River.

Distribution

Presently considered to be restricted to the area of the type locality up to the upper reaches of the Little Scarcies River in south central Guinea.

Habitat

Small streams & rivers. Sand substrate. Acid pH with a water temperature of 18-26°C.

Distinguishing Characteristics Wildekamp in 'A World of Killies' reports colouration of unpaired fins 'yellow to pale orange or pink.
Colour/Pattern Variability Probably low.
