KCF 6 - The holotype & paratypes were collected in a tributary of a river, leaving Pisa to rejoin the Mbaika - Mongoumba road, Republic of Central Africa.

A 'small stream along the Mbaiki to Mongoumba road, south of Bangui, Central African Republic'.

Distribution

The Oubangui River drainage system in southwestern Central African Republic.

Habitat

Collected in a brook which crossed a side road from Pisa which joins the Mbaiki-Moujoumba road in east Central African Republic by Gaudemard in May 1977.Rainforest streams, brooks & small rivers where they are found under overhanging vegetation at the biotopes edge.

Breeding Notes

Reportedly an easy species to breed. Eggs are laid in top mops. Water incubation takes about 14 days.
