Type Locality |
3 km south of Wadalna near Belefuanai on the road from Gbaruka to Zorzor, central Liberia. |
Distribution |
Currently only known from the type locality. |
Habitat |
The type locality was a narrow creek in dense
wood with brown water which was 2 metres wide. The fish were shy &
found mainly under overhanging vegetation near the banks in deep shadow.
The fish were reportedly very shy. |
Distinguishing Characteristics | Generally darker in colouration than others of the group. The un-paired fins have a deep orange colouration. |

Breeding Notes |
Basically similar to E.fasciolatus although I found them less prolific. |
