to the southwest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo not far from
the Angolan border. |

Only known from the type locality. |
Habitat |
Collected at an altitude of 1,000 metres. |
Distinguishing Characteristics | Distinct from others in the elegans group in having a black (probably - this is brown in preserved specimens) outer margin to all fins in males, a robust jaw, large head with large eyes, dorsal fin set further back down the body. |
