Size

Holotype - male of 36·6 mm SL and 48·1 mm of TL.

Meristics

ABC 06 / 94 - Coordinates: N 03 46 29 2 E 10 09 21 5, altitude 62 m. This population was originally circulated as A.ahli Blue. Some references state this & collection location ABK 07 / 127 are the same place. The original description gives 2 differing coordinates so these are listed as seperate locations.

Type Locality

Collected by Bogaerts, Lambert, Lambert, Melin 24th February 2005 at Ntoumba, BLLMC 05/34.

Distribution

The species is known in only two regions in the East and South of Edéa Cameroon.

Habitat

A photograph of the type locality in the original description suggests the area to have a thick base of dried terrestrial vegetation. The water looked deep brown suggesting a heavy tanin content in the water.

Distinguishing Characteristics Overall blue colour in body & finnage. No vertical red spots/lines in the caudal peduncle.
Colour/Pattern Variability Probably low.
