Meaning of Name

After Hannelore Pürzl & Prof. Dr. Leopold Wündsch of Vienna. It is customary in Latin to follow an umlout (ü) with an 'e' regarding a persons name.

Type Locality

Near Baposso, Ngounié province, southern Gabon.

Distribution

Presently only known from the type locality.

Habitat

The type locality was a swampy creek in the rainforest.

History

Discovered by Ed Pürzl & Otto Hofmann at location GHP 85 / 10, a marshy area 50 km to the south of Mbigou on the road to Malinga. This area drains into the Louetsie River system which in turn drains into the Ngounieé River system. Elevation 600 metres.

It is possible in the future this subspecies may be invalidated in favour of A.hannelorae as they are seperated by difference of colouration only.
