Size

Holotype: Male - 32·4 mm SL. Size in adult males 5 cm.

Meristics

D = 11-13, A = 15-16, D/A = +7 to +8, ll = 31-33 +2 -3.

Type Locality

G 02/160. A small river at Etsam I, crossing the N5 road from Medoneu to Kougouleu. Collected 29th July 2002 by T.Blum, G.Fleck & R.Sonnenberg.

Distribution

Limited area. Monts de Cristal along route N5. Found near Etsam, Assok & Song. Replaced to the north by A.mimbon.

Habitat

Rainforest streams & small rivers with slow flow rate. The type locality is 3-4 metres wide & 0·8 metres deep, slow flowing. Fish are found under over hanging terrestrial vegetation. Other localities are small streams 0·5 - 2 metres wide & 0·4 - 0·5 metres deep emtying into larger rivers. Base consists of sand, water temperature 20-26°C, clear water.
