West Coast Weekend XVIII

Be sure to attend West Coast Weekend on the weekend of April 23-25. The event proper starts on Saturday 4/24, with set-up on Friday. Speakers confirmed are John Boylan, Kit Stowell, Brian Perkins and Ron Harlan. The keynote speaker is Béla Nagy, speaking on collecting killifish in Africa. There will be a show on Saturday, a fish sale, also on Saturday, and an auction on Sunday, beginning around 11 am. This event is a great opportunity to learn about killies, for beginners and experts alike. We hope to see you there.

Friday April 23
Show room set up begins late morning.
Early afternoon: Fish store tour led by Ron Harlan
3-6 pm: Registration
7-9 pm: Meet the speakers dinner at a local brew pub
9-11 pm: Registration continues
9-11 pm: Socalizing in meeting rooms

Saturday April 24
7 am: Judging begins
9-10 am: Presentation, Brian Perkins on Aphyolebias
10-11 am: Presentation, John Boylan, on Collecting in Panama
11 am -2 pm: Fish sale and lunch break
2-3 pm: Presentation, Kit Stowell, on Pupfish
3 pm: Keynote presentation, Béla Nagy, on Collecting in East Africa
6-7 pm: Settle fish sales
7-10 pm: Dinner at local Chinese restaurant
10 pm on: Socalizing in meeting rooms

Sunday April 25
7 am: Begin show break-down
9-11 am: Presentation, Ron Harlan, on managing water conditions
11:00 am: Auction begins as close to 11 am as possible.
